Working on the shop

Today's topic is setting up shop... I have to get a wall built and all of my stuff moved from one side of the garage to the other. Easier said than done when the "new" side is actually filled with stuff that didn't sell at the yard sale, a foos ball table, and on and on and on. That stuff has to move before the tools can get moved, and I can re-run electrical outlets to where I need them. Now, I am feeling under the gun to get some things turned before my show on the 11th, and I have a commision to to a piece....I love this...

Slight delay

I was going to strt talking about turning on my new lathe, but I found out tht it won't be shipped until the 11th, so I will have to keep turning on the old one for the time being. Today, I finished turning the Walnut set of men's shaving accessories. Next I am moving on to a Cocobolo set, then on to some ideas for Christmas gifts I have been thinking about. I also started desigining the layout for my re-designed shop.

In The Beginning

Today is the day I received confirmation that my new Powermatic 3520-B Lathe was on the way. Now all I have to do is reorganize my studio. OK, my garage, but studio sounds so much more artistic than either shop or garage. So reorganize and clean my studio, find room to put it, run 220 volts, adn wait for it to come.
